Due to the uncertain budget situation in Pennsylvania at this time, some schools and districts may be uncertain about what positions will be available for the 2011-2012 school year. Please check with the district representatives at the Fair for the most current openings.
Opportunities
Recruiters from educational employers throughout Pennsylvania and other states across the country will be participating. Employers are expected to have many existing vacancies in their respective systems. The recruiters will distribute brochures, applications, and other informative literature. Proper Attire
Because candidates will meet with actual recruiters, participants MUST dress as they would for any interview. If you have any questions about what constitutes appropriate attire, please contact your career services office for advice.
Preparation
Pre-registration is NOT required. All education candidates are invited to attend the fair; it is open to the public from 10:30 am - 3:00 pm. There is no fee for Kutztown University students and alumni. All other participants must pay a $5.00 cash only admission fee. One resume will be collected from all candidates during registration.
Links to the participating school districts will be on this website beginning in February. Be sure to review the information beforehand. Because of the large number of participants, be prepared to wait in long lines to meet with an employer.
Interviews
Most recruiters will not schedule interviews. However, they may make on-the-spot arrangements with candidates in whom they are interested. Because of the large number of participants, you may want to speak with a recruiter.
Helpful Hints
- Take advantage of the opportunity to speak with as many representatives as possible. Do not limit yourself geographically.
- Do not expect a job offer during the fair. Your time with the recruiter is just the initial screening interview. This is your opportunity to make a good first impression.
- Practice your "one-minute commercial" and handshake!
- Bring plenty of quality resumes to hand out. Do NOT duplex (print front and back) two-page resumes. No cover letters or portfolios are expected.
- Follow up with the districts in which you are interested.

Limited parking is available, please consider carpooling. Candidates may park at the Hilton Garden Inn on Sycamore Drive. There will be a shuttle van running from the Hilton parking lot to the Holiday Inn. DO NOT park in the Burger King lot; your vehicle may be towed.
